Built in 1914, the Round Barn Farm provides stunning views of the Mississippi River Valley and surrounding area.

Who We Are

Kirk and Wendy Stensrud, the proud owners of Round Barn Farm Bed and Breakfast, want to welcome you to their beautiful homestead. They have been married for 32 years and highly value each other, their family of three beautiful grown children, and their faith. While Kirk has spent the majority of his career in sales and small business, Wendy has been a nurse and mother. Both have always been happiest when their dining room table is filled with guests, family, and friends.

Their shared dream of owning a Bed and Breakfast, and blessing their guests with both incredible cuisine and hospitality, has finally come true, and they could not be more excited. Wendy’s caring and intentional spirit paired with Kirk’s lighthearted and adventurous nature, will instantly make you feel at home. They hope their charming Bed and Breakfast will provide you a relaxing or romantic getaway, or a unique and stunning venue for your special day.

God has been so faithful to us in our lives, and we are thrilled to be able to share a piece of the blessing through this new opportunity in Red Wing, MN. Welcome to our dream; to God be all the glory, for we are nothing without Him.

“My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; He who walks in a blameless way is the one who will minister to me.” – Psalm 101:6

The historic 1914 Dammon Round Barn beckons you off the busy byways to enjoy 35 acres of gorgeous fields, woodlands and bluffs. Listed on the National Register of Historic buildings, the barn is the only one remaining in Goodhue County.

Our 3-story bracketed country manor farm home was built new from a 1861 design by architect Samuel Sloan. Combining reclaimed timbers and sophisticated American and European country antiques, we deliver the comforts and charms of days gone by. Five suites all have featherbeds, gas stoves or fireplaces and 2-person massage tubs or Jacuzzi.

If you spend your day at the Round Barn Farm, rural relaxation and pleasures are yours.

Stroll the paths winding through our 35 acres around fields and up the wooded bluff. The re-opened tractor path takes you up through the woods where you can see Lake Pepin in the distance through an opening in the forest canopy. Watch for deer, ruffed grouse and wild turkeys as you walk to the top of the bluff. Log benches provide places to rest and visit along the way.

Summer will find you on the swing in the old oak tree or picking ripe wild blackberries in the east field. Take a refreshing complementary drink and a book out to the gazebo to enjoy!

Our property serves as both a Bed & Breakfast and Wedding & Event Venue.
